Surf lessons for disabled people, reduced mobility, or any physical disability.
Surfing is a sport of choice for most of the physical constraints, is a proactive way to help in recovery or just a way to make safe sport. It also helps in inter-personal and social relationship.
The location of the lesson is decided the day before, to ensure the best conditions.
Usually, winter classes are on the Milícias beach, in the south coast, and in summer are in Santa Barbara Beach, on the north coast.
We pick-up and drop-off in Ponta Delgada and Ribeira Grande, depending our availability. (15€)
The lesson includes a wetsuit , a leash and the right board to each student level.
The water temperature ranges from 15º to 17º in winter and 20º to 24º in summer.
All you need to bring is a towel, some shorts or bikini and sunscreen.
SCHEDULE & DURATION
The class schedule depends on the tide time (we can tell in advance at what time will be the lesson). Lesson's duration : 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Usually, after 10 lessons, most students have learned the surf's basics and become autonomous.
